Title: The National Service Test: Kendall & Towshed’s Big Wake-Up Call

Genre: Comedy / Coming-of-Age / Reality-TV Satire

Tone: Lightly awkward, fish-out-of-water comedy with a touch of British dry humor

Opening Scene – Arrival at Camp

Jack Kendall and Mike Towshed, both 25, soft-spoken and slightly directionless Brits, arrive at the gates of “Bad Lads: Officer Class”—a reality TV show that recreates 1950s-style National Service. Both are hoping this experience will help them grow up a little. Jack wants discipline; Mike mostly wants to impress his ex.

"It's just marching and shouting, right?" Mike mutters as they step off the bus.
Jack shrugs, wide-eyed. "How hard can it be?"

They quickly realize they’re in over their heads.

Scene 2 – The Medical Exam Surprise

The recruits are ushered into a bland army barracks labeled “Medical Inspection”. They’re expecting a routine check-up: maybe some forms, a few blood pressure readings.

Then comes the shock.

"Strip to your underwear!" bellows Corporal Thomas, a stern man with a voice like gravel in a blender.

Everyone starts undressing. But Mike freezes. He’s not wearing underwear—an oversight born of laziness and laundry neglect.

“Mate…” Jack whispers, eyes wide.
“I thought we were just answering questions!” Mike hisses.

The room erupts in chuckles as Mike, red-faced, has no choice but to stand naked in a lineup of men in boxers and briefs. He tries to cover himself with both hands. It’s not going well.

Corporal Thomas eyes the line like a general inspecting troops.

“You! Ginger one. What’s your name?”
“Kendall, sir.”
“Stop glancing at Private Harris’s... equipment. Eyes forward.”

Jack’s ears turn red. Then, things get worse.

“You’re so curious, Kendall? Step out of line. Go down the row. Have a look at everyone until you’re satisfied. Then get back in place.”

Laughter breaks out again. Jack, mortified, shuffles awkwardly past his fellow recruits, staring determinedly at the wall behind them, refusing to actually look at anything.

Scene 3 – Even Stranger Orders

Just when they think it can’t get weirder, Corporal Thomas shouts:

“Now bend over. Hands on knees!”

The room stiffens. Even the bravest lads glance around nervously.

Thomas walks behind each of them, placing a firm hand on their lower back—just enough to confuse, but not explain.

“Why is he doing that?” Mike whispers from the corner of his mouth.
“He’s not even the doctor,” Jack mumbles.

Finally, the real doctor arrives—an older man with a clipboard and a deeply bored expression.

“Right then. Hernia checks. Standard procedure.”

Quick exams follow. Then the doctor sighs, motions to Mike.

“You. No underwear?”
“I… forgot.”
“Hands at your sides, son. We’ve all seen worse.”

Mike does as told, embarrassed but oddly resigned.

“Bit cold today, eh?” the doctor jokes, scribbling on his chart.

Mike forces a laugh. The moment passes.

Scene 4 – Interview Time

Recruits are told to line up for individual medical interviews. Jack puts his shirt back on and tries to act cool. Mike has to walk into the office fully naked.

“I can hold my clipboard… like this?” Mike offers.
The producer behind the camera shakes his head. “No props. Just be natural.”
“Natural?” Mike mutters. “Brilliant.”

Closing Beat of the Episode

Back in the barracks, the lads gather around, laughing about the chaos. Even Mike finds himself chuckling.

“Well,” Jack says, “that was… unforgettable.”
“And on national television,” Mike sighs. “Can’t wait to be famous for having the most awkward moment in British broadcasting history.”

They both grin, a little more bonded, a little less shy, and—somehow—a little tougher already.

Would you like me to continue this story with future camp challenges?

We could do a week-by-week episode structure: inspections, punishments, pranks, training drills, and more growth for the duo.
