 INT. MEDICAL TENT – DAY

The canvas walls flap lightly in the breeze outside. Inside, the air is sterile, tense. Three young men stand awkwardly—Mark Towshed, Jenkins, and Wilkes—stripped to their underpants under the harsh inspection lights.

CORPORAL MURRAY, gruff and no-nonsense, strides into the room behind them. His boots hit the floor with heavy authority.

CORPORAL MURRAY
(stern)
Right, lads. You’re here for your army medical. That means full inspection. When the doctor enters, drop your pants to your ankles. No hesitation. Understood?

ALL THREE
(in unison)
Yes, Corporal!

The flap opens, and DR. HAWTHORNE, an older, sharp-eyed man in a white coat, steps in holding a clipboard.

DR. HAWTHORNE
(curtly)
Proceed, gentlemen.

With a shared breath of discomfort, the three drop their underwear. Mark hesitates for a half-second, feeling the chill of the tent and the sudden exposure.

MARK (V.O.)
(nervous, sarcastic)
Well, this is a new level of humiliation. Mum would be proud.

Dr. Hawthorne begins his routine exam, going down the line. When he reaches Mark, he pauses. His eyes narrow.

DR. HAWTHORNE
(frowning, to himself)
Well, that’s... unusual.

He turns to Corporal Murray.

DR. HAWTHORNE
Corporal. Step over here, would you?

CORPORAL MURRAY
(approaches, puzzled)
What is it?

The doctor gestures toward Mark’s groin. Mark stiffens, aware of the growing attention.

MARK (V.O.)
Oh, bloody hell. Here we go.

CORPORAL MURRAY
(leaning in, squints, then winces)
What in God’s name… Is that metal?

DR. HAWTHORNE
Several. It’s not regulation. Could pose hygiene issues. Potential for injury.

JENKINS
(whispering to Wilkes)
Bet he sets off metal detectors just walking past Tesco.

Mark glares at them but says nothing.

CORPORAL MURRAY
(sighs, to the doctor)
Unacceptable. That’ll have to be removed. One way or another.

MARK
(defensive)
Oi, it’s not hurting anyone. It's part of who I am.

CORPORAL MURRAY
Not in this army, lad. You're here to become a soldier, not a blinking Christmas tree.

DR. HAWTHORNE
We’ll note it for now. He’ll be sent to medical review. Continue the exam.

Mark pulls a face but stays silent, the other lads still stealing glances.

MARK (V.O.)
Day one, and already I’m the freak show. Brilliant start.

Let me know if you'd like to expand this into a scene or script for a show or parody—I'm happy to help further.
